Postscript: Asian City Crossings as a Strategy for Freedom?

Author(s)
Rossella Ferrari, Ashley Thorpe
Abstract

‘City as method’ is characterised as a dynamic, ever-evolving model. The impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Black Lives Matter, and new security laws that threaten freedom of expression on city-to-city collaboration is explored. Whilst the Postscript does not hypothesise on the future, it contemplates the agency of the individual body, echoing Lei’s assertion (Chapter 7) that collaboration might still agitate for greater freedoms via an indirect city-to-city solidarity.
