Yizhuo Li, BA BS MA
Yizhuo Li

Li Yizhuo is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of East Asian Studies and project staff in the FWF-funded research "Performing Postsocialism in Twenty-First-Century China." Focused on contemporary China, her research interests include the history and concept of experiment in art, as well as its relevance in performance.

Li’s academic and critical writing appears on PARSE, Nonument, Mousse, and e-flux Education. As a curator her projects include the ecological co-operative agri_culture in Vienna and 2020 research-based shortlist exhibition “Viral Transmission” at OCAT Institute Beijing. From 2018 to 2020 she directed research and programs at the nonprofit organization FRESCO Collective in New York. She has lectured at Alfred University’s Institute for Electronic Arts and Barnard College, Columbia University.
Li holds an MA from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University and BA and BS degrees from Tsinghua University.
